"You can humble yourself, or I will do it for you." Sounds like something a bully might say, right? Actually, it's probably the experience we've all had at one point or another in life. What if it was an intentional choice on our part, though? Instead of letting our mistakes embarrass us, here are two ingredient for turning humility into honor.

If you were to single out one quality you most admire in other people, what would it be? There's one quality that receives almost universal admiration, yet it’s a trait you can’t be proud to have.

Restless curiosity. Whatever happened to that? When did we stop thinking up new questions and daring to chase down their answers? Perhaps we should be a revisit the spirit of the cowboy we used to celebrate when we were kids.

Perseverance means more than endurance— more than simply holding on until the end. A man's life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the man cannot see. The strength to persevere, then, comes down to trust.
